Tuesday afternoon will see Pontefract Racecourse host seven highly competitive races. Pontefract is a turf course and the going is expected to be good. The current slate of horse racing naps comes from Sky Sports.
The standout race of the day is the clearly the 15:10 Stakes, given that it features a £40,000 prize fund. From the nine fillies entered, it is Temptress at 11/4 that is generating the most interest. The four-year-old has three firsts and two seconds in seven career races.
Coming straight after is the 15:40 King Richard III Handicap, a race that will have ten runners aged ten or older. Deauville Prince is expected to lead the charge for the £15,000 prize fund at odds of 4/1, having won its last race.
None of the horses entered in the 15:40 have been in particularly impressive form, making that race a tough one to call.
