Thursday proved to be extremely tough for the favoured horses at the Epsom Downs. The going was good to firm (good in places) on what was a fine yet cloudy day.
Coming first in the UK horse racing results yesterday was a win for 9/2 prospect Leah Freya ahead of 7/2 joint-favourite May Be Some Time in the 18:15 Handicap. Tony Curtis then proved too strong at 9/2 for third-place finisher and 5/4 favourite Machine Learner in the 18:50 Median Auction Maiden Stakes.
Iseemist became the third winner by clinching the 19:25 Handicap at 11/2. Stubbins then won next at 2/1 in the 19:55 Maiden Fillies Stakes ahead of 10/11 favourite Monasada in third.
Banditry managed to become the first favourite winner at 11/8 in the 20:25 Handicap, but the bookies were delighted yet again when an outsider in the form of the 12/1 Liberty Jack won the 20:55 Handicap.
