Horse Racing Naps of the Day – 4 March

Today’s horse racing tips come courtesy of Sky Sports and Racing UK, who have shared a couple of interesting naps for the races at Kempton Park for Wednesday 4 March. Featuring a Polytrack surface, the going is expected to be standard.

Starting with the first race of the day, which is the 17:45 handicap, Nouevelle Ere has been identified as the clear favourite with odds of 5/2. Classified as a Division 1 horse, Nouevelle Ere is trained by A W Carroll and owned by George Downing.

The highest profile race is easily the 18:45 handicap, with a £19,000 prize pot up for grabs. A crowd of seven is taking part in the race, so there will be quite a lot of space. After winning his last race in Wolverhampton, Tryster is an Irish horse and the tip for this race at 5/4

Draw for Roma and Juventus in Serie A

Out of yesterday’s match results, the top-of-the-table clash between Roma and Juventus was easily the most intriguing. Heading into this encounter, there was a nine-point gap between Juventus and the chasing Roma. Consequently, Roma were targeting a victory to close the gap in the title race.

Played out at Roma’s Stadio Olimpico stadium, Juventus struck first with a Carlos Tevez free kick in the 64th minute. Fortunately for Roma, they levelled the game with a 78th minute goal from Seydou Keita. Although Roma salvaged a point, this result is much better for Juventus.

Following several bleak years, Juventus have returned to form by winning three straight Serie A titles. But after winning that trifecta, they were forced to say goodbye to former manager Antonio Conte, who resigned last summer. Based on Conte’s departure, Roma had hoped to overtake Juventus this season, having finished in second place last year. However, they still have major ground to make up.

Newcastle Horse Racing Naps – 3 March

Courtesy of Sky Sports At the Races, we have some exciting horse racing naps for Tuesday 3 March at Newcastle Racecourse. Analysts believe that the going will generally be soft, or good to soft in places.

Looking to the 15:20 R F Henderson ‘National Hunt’ Novices Hurdle, there is a crowd of 11 runners for this Class 4 race. Court Dismissed, a five-year-old from Ireland has been forecast as the 15/8 favourite.

Earlier in the day, though, the forecasted favourite Farragon could deliver a larger win at odds of 8/1. The horse will be running in the 14:20 Conditional Jockey’s Handicap.

There were some extremely memorable weekend football results. And in the race to win the Premier League title, Chelsea took a massive step forward despite playing in a different competition.

While Chelsea coasted to a 2-0 win on Sunday’s Capital One Cup final, Man City were licking their wounds after succumbing to a 2-1 away loss against Liverpool. Without kicking a ball, Chelsea’s prospects of winning the title improved dramatically.

In the upcoming midweek games, Chelsea could go at least three points ahead of Man City with an away victory over West Ham.

Tough Week in Europe for English Football

Last week was difficult for English football fans, with Manchester City losing 2-1 at home to Barcelona in the Champions League on Tuesday, followed by Arsenal losing 3-1 at home to Monaco on Wednesday. Liverpool and Tottenham then crashed out of the Europa League on Thursday, with only Everton progressing.
