Juventus Triumph over Lazio in Coppa Italia

Juventus are now on for a treble after first winning Serie and then the Coppa Italia in yesterday’s matches (Wednesday 20 May). On a night when Arsenal bored their way to a scoreless draw against Premier League opponents Sunderland, Juventus’ 2-1 victory versus Lazio was the game of the night.

Despite starting the game as favourites, Juve fell behind to a goal from Lazio defender Stefan Radu after only four minutes. After the initial anxiety, Juve fans then felt better when defender Giorgio Chiellini equalised seven minutes later.

The game then went quiet on the goal front, with both sides holding 50% of possession while each only creating three shots on target. A 1-1 score after 90 minutes called for extra time, giving the on-loan Alessandro Matri time to score a winner in the 97th minute. Next up for Juve is a Champions League final against Barcelona.

Haydock Park Horse Racing Naps – 22 May 2015

Seven races are on the card for Friday 22 May at Haydock Park. Many of them feature modest prize funds, but a couple are enough to set pulses racing.

First off, the £9,000 15:05 Handicap will boast a field of 13 three-year-olds. Winner of two in a row, Ghalib has been picked out as the 11/4 favourite of Sky Sports in today’s racing tips.

Next in line is the £11,500 15:40 Handicap, but this time there are just seven three-year-old runners. As a winner of two in five races, Wanting has been marked as favourite at 9/4. However, Don’t Tell Annie has also won twice in five and is worth a look at 9/4.

The last of our naps is the 7/1 Get Knotted. Having placed in each of the top three positions in its past five races, this three-year-old has exhibited better form than 11/4 favourite It’s Gonna Be Me (8533-).
